RESPONSIBILITIES

To lead and shape a best-in-class brokerage operations team, delivering market-beating customer service, effectively managing operational risk, incorporating local and international best practices, providing a stimulating work environment for employees and operating at competitive cost levels.

To adhere to operating policies and guidelines and regulatory (ESCA, DFM/ADSM, Central Bank) and audit requirements in the above.

Specific Responsibilities

Ensure that all transactions and other operational activity at the Brokerage back office are processed in timely manner, to high standards of accuracy, with adequate controls and in compliance with internal guidelines/audit requirements/regulatory requirements.
Regularly review work practices to identify areas for improvement and institute industry best practices. Identify and pursue opportunities for increased automation within the overall framework of Group IT policy. Ensure all operational procedures are documented and maintained up-to-date.
Ensure staff are adequately trained on an ongoing basis, through a mix of internal and external training as appropriate, to carry out their tasks efficiently. Ensure adequate backup to cover for leave or unscheduled absence.
Identify and exploit synergies with other Operations departments in order to minimize Group Operations expenses.
Implement and regularly report on key operational health indicators and metrics to the Group Operations Manager. Maintain effective supervision of operational controls and daily, monthly etc operational processes by creating and monitoring management information reports and carrying out random checks.
To respond promptly to changing business needs within overall Group Operations policy. Maintain effective one-on-one relationship with Brokerage Business Manager and mutually agree on areas for operational streamlining so as to enhance service, reduce operational and other risk and increase productivity.
Plan/budget for meeting changing business requirements through timely estimation and communication of resource requirements and system requirements.
Develop staff resources through training, coaching and effective performance management. Prepare high-performing staff for taking on increased responsibilities within the department as well as other departments.

Open to all UAE and Arab National only.
Salary is negotiable commensurates on candidates experience.
